Will you attend the Infection Prevention & Control Conference?
The first Infection Prevention & Control and Healthcare Facilities Management Conference takes place on 10th May 2022 at EICC Edinburgh. It’s all about focusing on improving services to reduce infections.
We’re helping to sponsor the event, being the inventors and suppliers of popular, affordable LED UVC lights designed to kill covid and a host more horrible pathogens quickly, cleanly, and cheaply.
The conference and exhibition is a CPD-accredited collaboration between Knowlex and Scottish Healthcare Governing Bodies. This is Scotland’s first national conference designed to address the challenge of reducing Healthcare Acquired Infections and the challenges facing facilities managers in keeping hospitals open and safe. It has attracted everyone from policymakers to leaders and key-professionals, and the people attending and exhibiting represent every aspect of Scotland’s healthcare infrastructure.
While the sector’s efforts have recently focused on covid, there remains an urgent need to tackle long-standing hospital infections like C-Diff, MRSA, and Gram-Negative Bloodstream infections. There’s also an equally urgent need to tackle the worldwide issue of Antimicrobial Resistance.
The essential people who carry out cleaning, hygiene, portering, waste-management and foodservice are keen to increase their own contribution to the battle against pathogens, and improve their skills in supporting the fight. The conference brings experts in preventing infection together with soft facilities management experts to explore and understand cleaning protocols and infection prevention best practice.
The event also focuses on the latest developments across all the different specialities. And the exhibition part of the event showcases the latest and best cutting edge infection prevention and control innovation, insights, and tech solutions.
As you can imagine we’re delighted to be involved. Here’s why.
